Anthropology combines the sub-fields of biological anthropology, archaeology, linguistic anthropology, and cultural anthropology together into a single, holistic study of humanity across all time and place.
Unlike many of the other social sciences, a primary goal of anthropology is to undertake a cross-cultural comparison of humanity that includes both western and non-western cultures.
You can follow one of two tracks within the Pre-Anthropology, A.A. (General Transfer) Degree. You can concentrate in Archaeology or Biological Anthropology and transfer into a Bachelor of Science program. Or, you can also concentrate on Linguistic or Cultural Anthropology and transfer into a Bachelor of Arts program.
In either track, your courses will prepare you for advanced study of Anthropology and will easily transfer to the four-year college or university of your choice.
