ACCUPLACER
The ACCUPLACER placement test is for students who are planning on attending Grand Rapids Community College. This test is a computerized assessment designed to help identify your basic skill level in math, reading and English. The ACCUPLACER is not a pass or fail test. The results will assist you and your Academic Advisor to develop an appropriate academic plan at GRCC and will determine what classes best fit you and your academic needs.
The ACCUPLACER offered at the Thompson M-TEC on Monday – Thursday from 8:00 am - 7:00 pm and Friday from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm by appointment only. To schedule an appointment please contact us at (616) 234-2200. Click here for more information.
Challenge Exams
Grand Rapids Community College provides an opportunity to earn college credit through Challenge examinations. GRCC faculty members develop the Challenge exams, which enable students to test out of designated college courses. The fee for each exam is $55.00.
