November, 2009
--Brian Schultz, Construction Trades and George Waite, Job Training, were invited by the Kent County Habitat for Humanity Organization to join them on this years Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter build in Asia.
October, 2009
--Mike Kidder, Culinary Education, was a member of the organization team for the Nations Cup that was held here at GRCC last week. The US team won the overall competition--our first time in the Winners Circle.
September, 2009
--Karen Riggs, Michigan Works, was recognized an an IMPACT Award winner during the MI Works! Annual Conference. She was one of 25 award winners that was recognized for her work that directly and positively impacts Michigan citizens our our region.
GRCC has won the gold medallion from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations District 3 for the MBTech Lean DVD. Now the DVD will go on to compete in at the national convention.
--Mike Colby, Klaas Kwant, and Elly Bainbridge for concept, filming and DVD finishing work
--Dan Keyes and Mary Hofstra who brought in and conducted the work at MBTech (now autodie).
August, 2009
--Danielle Nyuland, Kerry Hayward, and Lilly Anderson, from the Lakeshore Campus were trained to be First Aid and AED cerified for emergencies.
