This fund was established by Ronald J. Boelema to recognize deserving students who have demonstrated excellence in the study of mathematics or science at Grand Rapids Community College. Candidates must have a minimum 2.0 GPA and be enrolled on a full-time basis at GRCC.
Mathematics Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded annually to those GRCC students whose total scores on the two Student Mathematics League Exams are highest. At least three scholarships will be awarded at the end of the winter semester, with the amount of each scholarship dependent on the scores of the participants and the number of awards. Students may be full-time or part-time and there is no minimum GPA requirement. No student who has already earned a degree in mathematics may be awarded this scholarship, and no student may be awarded this scholarship more than twice.
Theodora Quick Mathematics Scholarship
Scholarships will be awarded to full-time students in any curriculum who expect to study mathematics through Calculus. Scholastic ability will be a priority in selection, and applicants will have maintained a 3.0 or better GPA. The deadline for application is March 15.
William J. Sharon Teachers of Tomorrow Scholarship
