The responsibilities of staff include:

Administration of union contracts, employee handbooks, policies and procedures.

Grievance investigation and administration.

Dispute mediation and resolution.

Employee coaching for performance.
-
Monitoring and compliance with various labor laws.
The following unions or employee groups represent Grand Rapids Community College employees:

Grand Rapids Community College Office Personnel (GRCCOP) represents full and part time employees working in various office positions throughout the college.

College Employees Benefit Association (CEBA) represents employees working in non-supervisory occupations as custodians, printing services and in the skilled trades.
-
Faculty Association represents full and part time faculty teaching credit and non-credit occupational classes.
-
Meet and Confer Employees include all administration, administrative support, business and technical training, campus police and technical/academic professional services, and are not represented by a union.
