This division of our Teacher Education program offers information on classes, seminars, and conferences that focus on multiculturalism. Diversity will be broadly defined, so not only will you learn about race and ethnicity, but about other aspects as well, such as disability and learning style. Speakers will come in to present seminars and there could be experience opportunities at sites that would give you first hand experience in working with diverse populations. Since most colleges and universities require coursework in diversity, this will give you an early introduction to the variety of students that you will encounter in your future classrooms.
