The Education Transfer Fair was a huge success. On Wednesday November 14th, 8 colleges sent representatives from their education department to meet with students and discuss options. Nearly 100 GRCC education students took the opportunity to look into various colleges and weigh their options once they graduate from GRCC.

November 4th, Deb Michaely came to GRCC to speak to students who are considering becoming a special needs teacher. There were nearly 45 students who attended the seminar. Students had a chance to learn about what job options are available and about what characteristics best suit a special needs teacher. The session was well received by all who attended.  If you missed the seminar, you can view it at http://www.grcc.edu/teachereducationpathway.

On November 1oth, Halima Ismail of Grand Rapids Public Schools presented strategies for reaching and teaching students in our classrooms whose first langugage is not English.  If you missed the seminar, you can view it at http://www.grcc.edu/teachereducationpathway.
