Child Development Associate Credential (CDA)
Center Based Training Option

The Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition awards the CDA Credential. The following GRCC Courses prepare the candidate to meet the formal training requirement for the CDA.

* CD 180 includes the development of competency statements and the resource file required for the CDA. It helps the candidate prepare for the formal observation. If a student later decides to pursue an AA degree in Child Development, it can be substituted for CD 280.
The candidate who completes these 14 credit hours is ready to apply to the Early Childhood Professional Recognition Council for direct assessment to earn the CDA Credential.
