Seminar promotes profitability of diversifying to make medical devices;
attendance indicates the willingness of Michigan business to be flexible and
forward-thinking
September 9, 2008 Grand Rapids, MI – GRCC and The West Michigan Science and Technology Initiative are offering an event for manufacturer's who are interested in diversifying into medical device manufacturing.
The event, Wednesday Sept. 10, from 7:30 AM-1PM at GRCC’s Applied Technology Center is near full with over 100 individuals already registered from 45 West Michigan companies.
Breakout sessions include: How to enter the market; Regulatory concerns; Design, Engineering Quality Systems for the Med Device Market; and Manufacturing excellence. A panel of West Michigan manufacturer's involved in Medical Device Manufacturing will be on-hand to share their experiences and lessons learned.
Grand Rapids Community College, established in 1914, offers both liberal arts and workforce development degrees, classes and workshops. Student enrollment on the urban campus for both credit and non-credit courses is approximately 26,000 this year.
