FIRST-EVER BREAKFAST WILL ALLOW GRCC SCHOLARSHIP DONORS
AND RECIPIENTS TO MEET
October 22, 2008 Grand Rapids, MI - Thursday morning from 7:30-8:30 AM, GRCC will host a breakfast introducing student scholarship recipients to their benefactors. According to Andrew Bowne, executive director of the GRCC Foundation, this is a first time event.
Students receiving the scholarship(s) will be seated with the donors who have established those funds. Other students who receive scholarships will also attend. Long-time donors Bette and Jim Taber from the old South High School will be featured in a brief video.
In the 2007-08 school year, 864 students received scholarships from the GRCC Foundation, totaling $705,652.47.
Media parking is available in the small lot on the east side (enter off Fountain) of the Applied Technology Center, 151 Fountain NE, where the event will be held in the banquet room on the first floor.
