Internet Explorer 8 compatibility issues with GRCC enterprise applications

The new version of Internet Explorer (IE 8), which Microsoft has now identified as a High Priority update, may result in compatibility issues with the PeopleSoft On-line Student Center and many web-page applications. GRCC staff have confirmed that several problems impacting the functionality of these applications occur when using IE8. LRTS enterprise applications continue to be functional with our supported browsers IE 7 and Firefox version 3.

Currently we have not fully tested Internet Explorer 8 with our on-line applications and have already determined that there are going to be failures with some of the products we support. We strongly recommend that you do not upgrade to Internet Explorer 8 until we have had time to fully test and work out issues. Once this has taken place we will send a communication to inform you that it is safe to upgrade to Internet Explorer 8. If you have questions, please call the Technology Help Desk at extension 3688.
