Electronics Technology

Electronics Technology is a field in which technicians assemble, install, test, maintain and service a variety of electronic equipment and systems. They may work on industrial, computer, communication, or home entertainment equipment. They may also assist in the designing, constructing, and testing of circuits.

  1. The study of Electronics includes electricity, devices, circuits and systems, both theory and application.
  2. Electronics can be learned at many schools, public or private.
  3. At private schools you pay for everything yourself, the total cost for two years is about $36,000.
  4. At GRCC taxes pay for most of the cost, so tuition and books for residents run about $10,000 for two years. Non-residents pay about $15,000.
  5. Private schools meet classes fall, winter, spring, and summer for about 1900 hours.
  6. GRCC Electronics meet classes fall, winter, and summer for about 1850 hours.
  7. GRCC offers courses in topic sequence to allow the learning of concepts in proper order.
  8. GRCC has professional instructors that are willing to help students.
  9. GRCC has modern well-equipped labs for student use at the Applied Technology Center.
  10. GRCC has a 100% placement of Electronics graduates.
