RaiderCard FAQs

1. How do I replace a lost or stolen card?

You should report all stolen/lost cards immediately. This can be done in 3 different ways.

  1. Log onto your Blackboard using your campus network username and password. Click on RaiderCard tab, and deactivate your card if it has been lost
    or stolen.
  2. You can come to Student Life located on the 1st floor of the Student Center to have your card deactivated in person.
  3. You can call the RaiderCard Hotline, (616) 234-3080 or Campus Police Office, (616) 234-4010.
Never leave a voicemail requesting your card be deactivated.

It is important that you understand the policy regarding lost and stolen cards. Please read the RaiderCard Policies for more information. If found, deactivated cards can be brought to Student Life to be reactivated.
If a new card has been issued previous cards will not work and cannot be reactivated. You can then go to
Student Life to print out a new card. Replacement RaiderCards will cost $10 each.

2. How does the RaiderCard work for parking?

When using the RaiderCard you must always swipe your card when you enter and when you leave the ramp (even if the ramp gate arms are up). Failure to do this may result in the inability to get out of the ramp or to
re-enter the ramp.

*A $2.50 flat rate will be deducted from your card every time you exit a college ramp.

3. Can other people, like my parents, put money on my card?

Yes, other people can put money on your RaiderCard account. This can be done through the web using American Express, Discover, MasterCard or Visa. Go to the Deposit Funds webpage for more information.

4. How do I get my money back from the RaiderCard?

Cash withdrawals from a RaiderCard account are not permitted. A Cardholder who wishes to receive a refund, must make a written request to do so. Such written request should be mailed to Cashier’s Office, 143 Bostwick NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503. GRCC will mail a refund check within fifteen (15) days after it receives an appropriate request to receive the refund and the following conditions are met:

(i) The account holder graduates, withdraws or is dismissed from GRCC and/or terminates employment; and

(ii) The account balance is five dollars ($5.00) or more. Refund checks will be written in the name of the account holder and mailed to the current address on GRCC files.

5. How do I check my account balance?

You can check your balance anytime using the Blackboard or at any Cash 2 Card machine.

6. What if I have a problem with my RaiderCard?

All issues with your RaiderCard should be brought to Student Life. You can also fill out a RaiderCard Complaint Form to have your complaint investigated.

7. What if I change my name?

  1. First you would need to change your name with the Student Records Office.
  2. Once you have change it with the Records Office, you must wait about 45 minutes for our machines
    to update.
  3. You can then come into the Student Life, Ford Fieldhouse, or MTec building and get a new FREE RaiderCard printed with your new name.
