GRCC Grants Handbook

STEP 3 DEVELOPING THE PROPOSAL

Executive Summary

The Executive Summary or Project Abstract is a synopsis of your proposal, usually one-half to one page in length. The Executive Summary can be a crucial part of your grant proposal. This is your first opportunity to impress the reader with an innovative project that addresses clearly identified needs, is supported by a strong evaluation component and is being submitted by a successful organization. This is also where you initially identify a strong connection between your project and the interests of the funder.
