Stacey took the non-traditional route, and returned to college as a transfer student after moving across the country and changing her major a few times along the way. She completed a BS in Psychology at GVSU, and continued her education at Western Michigan University, commuting to Kalamazoo for an MA in Counselor Education and Counseling Psychology in 1995. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Nationally Certified Counselor, and recently completed her training as a Global Career Development Facilitator through Oakland University. She has a special interest in helping students who are first in their family to attend college and is dedicated to helping students find career and life success through meaningful, educational experiences.
When she's not counseling and advising students, she enjoys listening to an eclectic blend of music, reading and writing short fiction and non-fiction, or enjoying the outdoors, particularly anywhere on or near Lake Michigan.
