This program is open to all degree-seeking students.

This international travel course will provide an in‐depth study of the French culture, civilization, art, history and language. It connects us to understanding the world in which we live where cultural and political misunderstandings abound and interactions become more common. We will come into contact with French culture through art, history and language from the north to the south of France in Paris and Provence. This experience is intended to promote interdisciplinary study and a broader understanding of the multicultural world in which we live through the study of language, art, culture, history, religion, economy and travel.

Excursions include walking tour of Paris, guided tour of Versailles and free day to visit any number of amazing site in the beautiful city of lights; Avignon and a guided visit to the 13th century Popes Palace and free time to explore this amazing southern city; guided excursion into Provence with visits to Les Baux Castle, Rousillon and the Ochre trail and a visit to the Bories village; wine tour, the roman ruins of Arles and a visit to Saint Rémy de Provence where VanGogh spent his last days; guided walking tour of Aix-en-Provence and free time to enjoy parks, city square, outdoor market, museums and monuments and interact with the locals; guided walking our of Marseille, boat tour of the Calanques in Cassis and free time to explore the port city of Marseille.

Cost of Program

The program fee is approximately $3,700.

The cost of the program includes:

  • Transportation to and from US based airport. 
  • Airfare
  • In-country transportation

  • Breakfast, some dinners 
  • Entrance fees
  • Tours
  • Criminal Background Check

The program fee does not include:

  • Tuition with fees (3 credits) (Based on a resident rate: $381)
  • Lunches, some dinners (approx. $300)
  • Gratuities for tour guides ($75)
  • Passport ($140)
  • Personal Expenses (approx. $200)
  • Travel Insurance (optional,approx. $100)

By completing this program you will receive 3 credits in a Humanities course through the HU 219 Global Studies through International Travel.
