Types of Disabilities

Approximately 600-800 GRCC students are registered with DSS as students with disabilities.  The largest population of these students are those with learning disabilities, Attention deficit hyperactivity disorders, psychological disorders, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.  A smaller number of students have physical/mobility disabilities, chronic health/medical disabilities, sensory disabilities, brain injuries, or intellectual/developmental disabilities.  You can find characteristics about specific types of disabilities, considerations for instruction, and accommodations that might be common.
