Emergency Phone Alert System

  • The Emergency Phone Alert System is designed to send an instant alert to a large portion of the campus in the event of an emergency or to inform staff and students of important informational items such as the status of classes after a power outage. You can view the Emergency Phone Alert System Maps to see the locations of phones which will receive an instant alert on campus.

Classroom Phones

  • All Classrooms Have Phones Installed
  • Standard Campus Phones
  • 4 Digit Dial On Campus
  • No Off-Campus Calls except 911
  • Emergency Calls: Campus Police 4911, Off Campus 911 or 9911 (will notify Campus Police)
  • Emergency Code 2 Buttons - All of the classroom phones have code 2 buttons. Pressing the code 2 button on the phones will automatically call Campus Police. If you press this button without speaking an officer will be dispatched to the classroom.
  • Off Hook Alert - To suppliment the Code 2 feature, classroom phones will also notify Campus Police if a phone remains off hook for more than 30 seconds. Campus police will also send an officer in this case.

Call Boxes

  • Located In The Hallways In:
    • ATC
    • Calkins Science Center
    • Cook Academic Hall
    • Push the call button to call Campus Police
    • If after hours 911 will be dialed

Parking Ramps

  • Call Boxes
  • Intercom System
  • Press Call Button to Contact Campus Police

Office Phones

  • Many of the office phones have code 2 buttons. You can press this button and automatically call Campus Police. If you press this button without speaking an officer will be dispatched to your office.
