Lisa has lived in Grand Rapids most of her life. Currently she is enjoying a part-time position working at the Tassell M-TEC as a Support Professional in the WorkForce Training Department. When Lisa isn't at her desk, she enjoys gardening, cellphone photography of nature, live music, thrift shopping, camping, and riding her motorcycle. Lisa received her cycle endorsement 12 years ago from a GRCC hosted training program! Lisa is a proud tribal member of the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa and is enrolled in online Anishinaabemowin classes to learn to speak her Odawa language. She also dances in the powwow circle wearing the jingle dress she made 5 years ago when she reclaimed her Indigenous name as Waabshka Memengwan, which means White Butterfly.
