The Fieldhouse is available to our current students, an employee benefit for staff and faculty currently teaching classes, the dependents of staff and faculty (18 years and older), and Golden Raiders. Community members (18 years and older) also have the opportunity to join at a very competitive price.

All GRCC employees, their dependents, retirees, and community members interested in Ford Fieldhouse fitness center access are asked to complete the application.

If you are a student enrolled in at least one credit in the current semester, you do not need to fill out this form. Your access is automatically added to your RaiderCard.

Winter 2024 Semester Hours of Operation

Fitness Center

  • Monday-Thursday: 6 a.m.-7 p.m.
  • Friday: 6 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Saturday/Sunday: CLOSED

Free Weight Room

  • Monday-Thursday: 6 a.m.-7 p.m.
  • Friday: 6 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday: CLOSED
    • CLOSED: February 29 to March 1

Track 

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:30 a.m.-1:45 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Thursday: 7:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday: CLOSED
    • CLOSED: February 28 to March 1

Open Courts

  • Monday-Thursday: 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
  • Friday: 8:30-10 a.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday: CLOSED
    • CLOSED: February 28 to March 1

Facility Policies

Gerald R. Ford Fieldhouse Rules 

  1. This is a controlled facility. To gain entry, please present a personal valid Raider Card or Ford Fieldhouse Day Pass. Users are expected to read and adhere to all posted rules and instructions for each specific activity area. 
  2. Participants must be 18 years or older to utilize the equipment in the Fitness Center.
  3. Consult a physician before engaging in physical activity. The Fitness Center is not responsible for accidents or injuries that occur due to the nature of the activity.
  4. Report injuries, accidents, or equipment failures immediately to Fieldhouse (FFH) Staff.
  5. Appropriate athletic apparel including nonrevealing shirts, athletic shorts or pants, and closed toed/closed heel athletic shoes are required to be worn.
  6. For safety reasons, all personal belongings must be placed in storage lockers. GRCC is not responsible for any personal belongings lost or stolen.
  7. Equipment is not to be removed from activity areas and must be used for its intended purpose.
  8. Tobacco, food, glass bottles, cans, alcohol, drugs, or weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited. 
  9. Use of bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards, hover boards and drones are prohibited inside the Fitness Center/Ford Fieldhouse.
  10. Only service animals are allowed in the facility.
  11. Headphones must be used while listening to personal music.
  12. Use of cameras and video equipment are prohibited. 
  13. Advertising or promotional materials must be pre-approved by FFH Management and placed in authorized locations only.
  14. Only qualified staff hired by a GRCC Department may provide exercise instruction or private training.
  15. Any scheduled group activity must be pre-approved and scheduled in advance by the Fieldhouse Operations Department.
  16. Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
  17. The on-duty supervisors have authority over all activity and may expel a user for failure to follow instructions.

Weight Room Area Rules

General Rules:

  1. Participation is “at your own risk.” In the event of an emergency please contact Fieldhouse Staff or dial 911. If there is damaged equipment, contact Fieldhouse staff.
  2. Participants must be at least 18 years old to utilize the facility.
  3. Appropriate athletic apparel including nonrevealing shirts, athletic shorts or pants, and closed toed/closed heel athletic shoes are required. No jeans, slacks, or studded clothing on upholstered seats.
  4. For safety reasons, all personal belongings need to be placed in lockers. GRCC is not responsible for any belongings lost or stolen. 
  5. Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. 
  6. Only plastic, non-glass, or reusable water bottles are acceptable.

Weight Lifting Guidelines:

  1. Use locks and collars on all bars.
  2. Return all equipment and weight plates to their proper location after each use. Do not take equipment out of the area. 
  3. Use a spotter when necessary. 
  4. Use of chalk and powder is prohibited.
  5. Always wipe down the equipment after use.
  6. Maintain control of your weights at all times. No dropping of weights!
  7. Always work out at your own fitness level and ask Staff for assistance, if necessary. 

Olympic-Lifting Platforms 

  1. Must occur only on platforms.
  2. No dropping of weights from higher than your knees.
  3. Weights must be controlled at all times.
  4. Only one person is allowed on the platforms at a time.
  5. No spotting on Olympic lifts.
  6. Please clean up the area after use.

Gymnasium (Courts) and Track Rules 

  1. Participation is “at your own risk.” In the event of an emergency please contact Ford Fieldhouse Staff or dial 911. If there is damaged equipment, contact staff.
  2. Participants must be at least 18 years old to utilize the facility.
  3. Appropriate athletic apparel including nonrevealing shirts, athletic shorts or pants, and closed toed/closed heel athletic shoes are required to be worn. Non marking shoes are required. 
  4. For safety reasons, all personal belongings need to be placed in lockers. GRCC is not responsible for any belongings lost or stolen.
  5. Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated in the facility. 
  6. Only plastic, non-glass, or reusable water bottles are acceptable.
  7. No dunking or hanging on the rim during open recreational play.
  8. Please return all of your rented equipment to the upstairs Welcome Desk. 
  9. Adhere to the directional signs for the particular day. All running and walking should be in one direction.
  10. Walkers should take the inside two lanes only. Passing should be done on the outside lanes. Patrons with strollers abide by this rule. Infants/toddlers need to remain in the stroller at all times.
  11. While on the track lanes, all users must be moving and not stopping or watching play.
  12. Use caution when changing lanes and when entering or leaving the track.
  13. Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.

Locker Room Rules

  1. In the event of an emergency please contact Fieldhouse Staff or dial 911. If there is damaged equipment, contact staff.
  2. Cell phone or photographic equipment use is not allowed in locker rooms. 
  3. Please report suspicious activity to the Fieldhouse Staff.
  4. Please dry in the drying area, near the showers. Locker room floors may be slippery. 
  5. All personal belongings should be in a locked locker. GRCC is not responsible for any belongings lost or stolen.
  6. All of these lockers are Day Use Only Lockers on a first come first served basis. 
  7. All lockers are the property of GRCC. A fee will be assessed for locker damage caused by negligence or abuse.
  8. Fieldhouse Staff reserves the right to check lockers for unreturned towels, equipment, and to resolve safety/security concerns. Users will be notified if possible should this occur.
  9. Please clean up after yourself.
  10. Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
