Conference on College Composition and Communication, Assistance Fund for Contingent Faculty

The Conference on College Composition and Communication is accepting applications for the CCCC Assistance Fund for Contingent Faculty. The fund provides awards of $500 for contingent faculty at two-year colleges and four-year colleges and universities to travel to the annual CCCC Annual Convention. Applicants must reside more than 300 miles from the convention site. The deadline to apply is December 31, 2014 to be considered for the awards made in January 2015.

Institute of International Education, Fulbright Scholar Program

The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government and is designed to “increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.” With this goal as a starting point, the Fulbright Program has provided almost 310,000 participants—chosen for their academic merit and leadership potential — with the opportunity to study, teach and conduct research, exchange ideas and contribute to finding solutions to shared international concerns.

Fellowship Opportunities

Vermont Studio Center Fellowships for Artists and Writers

Applications are accepted for fellowships and residencies at the Vermont Studio Center. To be considered for a fellowship, applicants must submit their applications by one of the three annual fellowship deadlines: February 15, June 15, or October 1. Calls for Papers

Submissions accepted for possible publication in The Community College Enterprise: A Journal of Research and Practice. The journal accepts work primarily from community college educators and administrators and is published in the Fall and Spring. It accepts papers on topics such as: alternative learning strategies, learning, student success, retention, developmental education, leadership, teaching and learning strategies, and interactive learning. Manuscripts welcome for possible publication in the Journal on Excellence in College Teaching. The journal accepts papers on college and university teaching in the following categories: research, integration, innovation, and inspiration.
