Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC) has selected Rave Wireless to provide emergency and academic messaging capabilities to students, faculty, and staff.
With GRCC's Rave Wireless service you can:
- Receive text messages when there is an emergency or crisis situation on campus.
- Select to receive a text message notification when your professor posts a Blackboard course announcement, assignment, grade, or calendar item.
Students can "opt in", meaning that in order to take advantage of the text messaging service for emergency, crisis, and Blackboard announcement, calendar event, assignment, and grade notification, you will need to sign up for the service. The service is free to all GRCC students, faculty, and staff.
Important Note: You may incur charges from your mobile service provider for text messages or Internet access, please be sure to check the terms of your plan before selecting to receive text message alerts.
