Got Blood?

October 19 - GRCC's Blood Drive, held on October 17, 2001 was the most successful since the Reagan Administration!

Donors turned out in droves. As many as 77 people signed up to give blood, and a total of 59 units of blood were drawn. This marks the best turnout since December of 1984.

In addition to the success of the blood drive, 41 people were signed up for the bone marrow drive going on simultaneously. That number includes 20 minority donors, significant because minority bone marrow donors are in high demand.

Keep your calendars free in February of 2002, when the next blood drive is planned!

Sadly, many of us feel uncertain about future events in general, and are reluctant to think about any kind of a celebration right now. And we think others in the community will feel the same.

We had so many good ideas taking shape, and we do have so much GRCC history to celebrate - when the time comes - that we have decided to just postpone for now and hope that we can reschedule the festivities at some future, happier time.
