"Twin Bowl" Community College Football Clash set for Saturday - Sibling Rivalry Simmers on Both Sides of Lake Michigan

While the rivalry between Michigan’s two Big 10 football teams has been settled for this year, several notable gridiron clashes are still ahead, and one of those is The Ender Twin Bowl – a “friendly” dustup that got its start in a nursery decades ago between twin brothers...

Now in its third year, this Midwest Conference rivalry is between Grand Rapids Community College – where Dr. Steven C. Ender is president - and Harper College in Palatine, Illinois – where his twin brother Kenneth is president. As in years past, the Brothers Ender have a serious wager on Saturday’s outcome: expensive cigars are hanging in the balance – not to mention the coveted twin-sided loving-cup.

Set for a 1:00 PM (ET) kickoff, following a family tailgater from 11 AM to 1:00 PM for guests from both sides, the game will be played at Houseman Field.  More information is available at www.grcc.edu/twinbowl.

Grand Rapids Community College, established in 1914, offers educational opportunities for over 30,000 students annually in degree courses, certification and training programs, workshops and personal enrichment classes.  GRCC holds classes on the downtown Grand Rapids campus as well as several additional locations in Kent and Ottawa counties.
