A trip around the world isn’t in the budget of many West Michigan families, but a taste of what such a trip might be like is.
Tonight, when GRCC’s International Student and Hispanic Student organizations team up, visitors will be able to hear, see and taste the essences of faraway countries.
The event, called “Raiders of the World,” is open to the public and the $5.00 admission gives access to all the food, performances and a World Music Dance to close out the evening.
Doors to the Gerald R. Ford Fieldhouse open at 6:00 PM and the food is served until 7:30 PM, performances are from 7-9 PM and the dance follows from 9-11 PM. Tickets can be purchased at GRCC’s Student Life Office on the first floor of the Student Community Center, 122 Lyon St. NE. Parking is available in campus lots for $3.00.
Grand Rapids Community College, established in 1914, offers opportunities for over 30,000 students annually in degree courses, certification and training programs, workshops and personal enrichment classes. GRCC holds classes on the downtown Grand Rapids campus as well as several additional locations throughout Kent and Ottawa counties.
