OPEN FORUM FOR GRCC TRUSTEE CANDIDATES SET
March 30, 2009 Grand Rapids, MI - The Grand Rapids Community College Academic Governing Council (AGC), Faculty Association and Student Congress together will hold an open forum for candidates for the GRCC Board of Trustees on Tuesday, April 14 at 3:00 PM in the GRCC Student Center Multi-Purpose Room.
The two-hour format will allow for each candidate to provide a five minute introduction, biography and statement of reason for wanting to represent the community as a GRCC Trustee.
There will be three questions asked of each candidate in the following areas: Future Growth for GRCC, Future Funding for GRCC, and the Role of the Board and its members in a Policy Governance Model. The responses will be limited to two minutes.
During the final segment of the forum, audience members can ask general questions, as time permits. The event will be facilitated by an AGC member.
GRCC’s AGC represents the faculty and academic administration in the formation of policies and procedures on academic and professional matters.
GRCC currently serves 28,000 credit and non-credit students.
