Academic Advising-Individual Advising Drop-In Sessions

The Psychology Department is holding one-on-one academic advising for students intending to major in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Gerontology, or those currently enrolled in PY-100.

During this time you can meet with a professor in the Psychology Department to –
•Develop a schedule for Winter Semester 2018.
•Plan for your future classes.
•Determine what classes you need to graduate.
•Decide which classes are best for your transfer or career goals.
•Ask questions about career options in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Gerontology, or related fields.

For students in PY-100, this time will allow them to connect with a faculty advisor to discuss career goals, selection of a major, and next step toward being successful in college.

Wednesday, October 18
Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Gerontology: 9:00 – 5:00
Students in PY-100: 8:00 -11:15 & 12:50 - 3:00

Thursday, October 19
Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Gerontology: 9:00 – 5:00
Students in PY-100: 8:00 - 9:00, 11:00 – Noon, & 2:00- 4:00

Location -
All advising will be on Third Floor White Hall, DeVos Campus. You do not need to make an appointment. Students will be advised on a first come – first served basis.

 

If you cannot attend the drop-in sessions, you can make an individual appointment to meet with a faculty member depending on your major.
