Academic Service-Learning
Students interested in this program must consult their instructor to determine if performing Academic Service-Learning is an option. There are many instructors that use service-learning as a teaching methodology and work very closely with the Center.

 


Community Service Work Study

Only students that have been awarded financial and qualify for work study can participate in this program. To find out more, please contact 234-4162.

 


AmeriCorps Michigan Service Scholars

This program is designed for students to act as a Campus Liaison between the Center and Community Organizations. Students are recruited and trained to work with the Centers’ Community Partners to meet their volunteer needs by recruiting GRCC students to volunteer in short-term service experiences. Students also assist in coordinating our Days of Service experiences.AmeriCorps are required to complete (300) hours of service and in return will receive a $1,000 Educational Award. Volunteer/Days of Service

Students interested in volunteering are expected to view our new web based volunteer and community leadership site “Get Involved.” This site is designed to expose students to many volunteer opportunities in the community. Students are also encouraged to participate in our Days of Service experiences. These experiences are open to the campus and allows students to volunteer for up to four hours on Saturday’s throughout the semester.
