Years of Service Recognition | Retirement Recognition

Purpose:
To recognize employees for years of service to GRCC.

Eligibility:
All full-time employees completing 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, or 40 years of service as determined by Human Resources.

Method of Recognition:
Years of service are recognized at the Annual All Employee Recognition Reception on Commencement Day. Each year of service has been given a value of $3.

5 years of service recognition -- employee select one item from this group along with receiving a congratulatory letter from the President.

10 years of service recognition -- employee selects $30 worth of items from this group along with receiving a congratulatory letter from the President.

It is recommended that "off" years, i.e. 1 to 4 years; 6 to 9 years; 11 to 14 years, etc. be recognized at the department level on an employee's anniversary.

Purpose:
To recognize employees who have retired or will be retiring from GRCC.

Eligibility:
Any employee meeting the retirement guidelines as defined by the MPSERS and who have notified Human Resources.

Method of Recognition:

  • A commemorative gift from the Board of Trustees
  • Recognition at the Golden Raider's Reception held the Wednesday before Commencement
  • Gift from GRCC gift selection catalog
  • Presented at the Annual Employee Recognition Reception held on Commencement Day
  • Department may hold an informal open house for their retirees
  • NOTE: If an employee retires at a milestone year of service, he or she will also receive the appropriate service recognition.
