Each year in early September employees are allowed one half day off with pay to participate in this annual event. Names and pictures are published in GRCC TODAY. They are also introduced at the September College Connections meeting.

Employees interested in participating in this annual event should watch for an announcement in GRCC TODAY or contact the GRCC United Way Campaign Chair.

Families and Community Together for Students

This program is a partnership with the United Way. The purpose of the program is to help elementary students in grades Kindergarten through 4th grade develop reading skills. Employees participating in this program are allowed one hour of paid time per week to tutor students from Fountain Elementary. Participants receive a certificate of recognition at the end of each academic year.

Interested employees should contact the Learning Academy for Faculty and Staff to participate in this program.
