  3. Your User ID is a CaPiTaL W followed by your student number.

A successful login will display the Online Student Center page with menu options to the left.

An unsuccessful login will prompt you to enter your Login ID and password again. Do not attempt to log in multiple times with the wrong information! After three attempts, you will be locked out of the system.

How do I find my Student ID?

For the protection of the student the college is asking that you do the following to get your Student ID number. Your Student ID number is NOT your Social Security Number.

  1. Check any paperwork you have from the college. Your student ID number will be listed somewhere amongst your admission paperwork, a class schedule or tuition receipt. It is included on most documents sent to you by the college.
  2. If you have a student ID that was issued during the last 4 years, take a look at it. Your student ID should be on it.
  3. Stop in to the Enrollment Center on campus with a photo ID (Driver's License or Student ID prefered). The enrollment center is located on the first floor of the Main Building, next to the elevators. You may get your Student ID Number from the Enrollment Center.
  4. Call (616) 234-4000 and ask for the Enrollment Center. The STUDENT must call the enrollment center, not another party.
  5. Send a letter to the college:

Grand Rapids Community College
Enrollment Center
143 Bostwick NE
Grand Rapids, MI 49503

Include the following information in your letter:

  • Your Request: Please send my student ID number
  • Your Name
  • Your Date of Birth
  • Your Signature

Your Student ID Number will be mailed to the address we have on record for you. If your address has changed, please contact the Cashier's Office first to have your address updated. (616) 234-4020.

What can I do if I forgot my password ?

Before giving up on your password, make sure you are using a capital "W" in front of your student ID Number for your login (ex. W1234567). If this doesn't work then Contact the Student Technology Help Desk .

Why are there classes in my Shopping Cart?

When a student enrolls in a class, and encounters an error, the class is not removed from the shopping cart, this is by design.

Prior to our upgrade, these classes were invisible to the student. Now that we have upgraded, errors previously encountered by students will now appear in their shopping cart.

To remove a class from the shopping cart - click the Trash can Icon in front of the class in the shopping cart
