  • Blackboard Content System
    Provides the ability for faculty to use drag and drop file management capabilities, virtual hard drive space for students, ePortfolios, eReserves, Learning Object Repository capabilities, and student & faculty web site management.
  • Lecture Capture
    Provide live lecture capture, podcasting, and Bb integration. (Products being evaluated: Breeze, Apreso, Mediasite, Lectopia, Elluminate, Centra, SMART, Tegrity, Camtasia)
  • Student Response Systems
    Provide realtime student feedback using radio frequency "clickers". (Products being evaluated: TurningPoint2006 by Turning Technologies, eInstruction)

Wikis in Blackboard... Why?

  • A wiki is essentially a web page that anyone can edit. This feature is available through Blackbord.
  • Wikis can extend learning beyond the classroom, stimulate discussion, capture and share knowledge, reduce email, allow students to contribute to the curriculum, and support student collaboration.
