Foreign Transfer Credit
All incoming transcripts are evaluated by the Student Records Office. Grand Rapids Community College requires a certified course-to-course evaluation from one of the above services and a copy of the original document for consideration of transferable credit. Students planning to transfer to another institution should have their foreign transcripts evaluated by the other institution to determine transferability of credits.

Test Credit
By passing one or more authorized tests, students may earn credit for courses without taking them. Exams are graded on a credit/no credit basis and do not impact GPA. Students can receive college credit by earning a passing
passing grade on a subject exam. GRCC accepts credit from the CLEP Standardized National Exams, DSST/DANTES Examinations, Advanced Placement (AP). Learn more about credit by exam or check the list of acceptable tests and scores.

Students planning to transfer to another institution should check with their transfer college before testing to determine if the test is accepted and to determine the cut off scores required for college credit.
