Academic Outreach

The first cohort of Upward Bound graduates celebrating on the steps of Calkins Atrium

We strive to make higher education a reality for many students who wouldn’t otherwise consider college, or don't have access to it, by removing financial, schedule and transportation barriers.

Our competitive academic degrees and programs are built to connect students to their field. Programs in our work pathways provide students the knowledge and skills to step into a high-demand career, and programs in our transfer pathways set students up to seamlessly transition from high school to GRCC, or a four-year college or university as a junior.

Our programs for high school students offer:

  • Education at a reduced, or even free, tuition rate.
  • Locations convenient for you.
  • A smooth transition from high school to college.
  • A head start on your degree.

  • Classes for community members to learn English, build their computer skills, get a workforce certificate, and prepare for the citizenship test.
