Sophomore Hannah Stearns has signed to continue her academic and volleyball career at Cornerstone University.
Stearns finished her decorated career as a Raider by putting down 418 kills, 168 blocks, and a .255 hitting percentage. Her contributions during her two years helped lead GRCC to an overall record of 32-0 in conference play, an overall record of 55-11, and the Raiders’ highest national ranking since 2014 of No. 3 in Division II of the NJCAA.
As a freshman, Stearns was named a 2016 NJCAA 3rd team academic All-American. During her sophomore year, she was named All-Region, All Western Conference 1st team, All-MCCAA, and NJCAA District F All-Tournament team. Her strong play and championship caliber character will fit right in with the nationally ranked Golden Eagles. Cornerstone finished the 2017 season with an overall record of 28-8, a WHAC Conference Tournament Championship, and a trip to the NAIA national tournament.
Stearns is now one of 43 Raiders who have moved on to play at a four-year college or university under head coach Chip Will. Congratulations to Hannah Stearns!
