Congratulations to Larica Brown, Rebecca Davis and Quiona Gordon, the 2020 recipients of the Bragg, Harvard, MuhammadSmith Why We Can’t Wait scholarship!
The Why We Can’t Wait fund was established in 2009 by GRCC English professor Mursalata Muhammad, Kent County Sheriff’s Deputy Will Smith, and Sabrina Sewell-Bragg, an administrative assistant in Greenville County, N.C., to honor family members in public service.
Over the past three years, the fund has awarded $10,000 to six GRCC students pursuing careers in criminal justice, education and healthcare.
