March 30: Update to students from Provost Knetl

GRCC Students,

We appreciate your patience as GRCC makes this unprecedented transition to remote learning through the end of the Winter 2020 semester. While many of you have adapted well to this new learning environment, we understand you are managing many challenges unique to these circumstances.

We want to be flexible and responsive to your concerns. Toward that end, GRCC is implementing two options for this semester:

  1. At the end of the semester, you can petition to have your letter grade converted into Credit/No Credit grade
  2. We will also be offering you the option to retake a Winter 2020 course during a later semester.

We are working through the final details and processes to implement these changes. We will send a communication later this week with instructions on how to participate in either of these options.  We will also highlight how you can consult with various campus representatives (advisors, faculty, financial aid, etc.) so you can make the best decision based on your circumstances.

GRCC’s primary concern continues to be your academic success, health, well-being, and safety.  Please review the additional updates in this email below including the special video message prepared by your faculty.

Sincerely,

Dr. Brian Knetl, GRCC Provost
