Jill DeJager is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with background in exercise science and public health. She loves all things healthy for the mind, body and spirit and feels most fulfilled when she sees her students being inspired to be their best selves.
She earned a B.A. in Exercise Science from Calvin University and a B.S. in Dietetics from Michigan State University. She completed her graduate work at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), earning her Master of Public Health. She has taught nutrition classes at UCLA, Long Beach City College, Mount San Antonio College, California State University, Long Beach, and Grand Valley State University. She has also worked for many years as a clinical RDN. She is thrilled to have come full circle and be teaching at GRCC where she was once a student.
When she is not teaching or counseling clients, she enjoys spending time outside with her family and her dog. She is an avid ultimate frisbee player and a green tea enthusiast. She especially enjoys making desserts containing vegetables and not telling her students until after they’ve eaten them.
