Kathy Keating is GRCC’s general counsel, overseeing the office that manages and coordinates legal services to protect GRCC students, faculty and staff while proactively minimizing legal risks and liability.
Keating also leads collective bargaining and contract administration processes and responds to concerns regarding institutional ethics. These services support the fiscal and operational sustainability of GRCC's educational mission.
The General Counsel’s Office provides legal counsel and training for GRCC administrators, assists with developing college policies and procedures, advises in sensitive employment matters and reviews contracts.
Keating has been with GRCC since 2003 after serving as vice president of Human Resources for the Spring Lake-based International Aid.
She earned a bachelor’s degree from Albion College in Michigan and her juris doctorate from Columbia University Law School in New York.
