The department focuses on meeting the needs of all students, faculty, and staff by equipping and supporting the community with quality resources in technology.
Anderson has more than 32 years of experience in Information Technology, with 28 years in higher education. He began his career at Flint Board of Education as a Programmer and then worked at Electronic Data System as a system engineer before taking a system analyst position at Grand Rapids Public Schools and Grand Rapids Junior College.
Anderson was promoted to the President’s Executive Team as the chief information officer in 2014. His portfolio as CIO includes Information Technologies and Media.
He graduated with a Computer Information Systems degree from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, and earned his Juris Doctor degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing.
