Community Engagement Week

Participate in Community Engagement Week!

Steps students take to successfully participate in Community Engagement Week.

Step 1. Choose your volunteer activity.

It’s really important to plan ahead.  Students have several options to choose from.  Opportunities can be found by clicking on the Volunteer Opportunities link below.  The spreadsheet is broken down into three categories.  The first category (Ambassador-Led) offers you volunteer opportunities that have already been coordinated.  Students simply need to register to confirm their spot.  The second category (Student-Led) provides you will a list of opportunities to choose from, however students must coordinate these on your own.  Meaning, you must follow up with the organization to confirm your participation.  The final category (Virtual) offers you just that – these are opportunities you can do from the safety of your home.  In some cases, you will need to follow up with the organization.  An alternative option is to simply find your own volunteer opportunity and complete steps 2 and 3.

Step 2. Complete your volunteer activity.

Students should accumulate 4-hours of volunteer activity during Community Engagement Week.  It’s important to capture your service by taking a few photo’s of yourself.  You will need at least (1) photo of yourself completing your service as part of submitting your reflection form (see Step 3).

Step 3. Complete the Reflection Form

In order for successfully complete the Community Engagement Week requirements, students must complete 4-hours of volunteering and submit the reflection form (see below link).
