Prometric Testing

Regional Testing Site

Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA), Bureau of Community and Health Systems partners with Prometric for the administration of Certified Nurse Aide (C.N.A.) clinical and knowledge skill evaluation.  Prometric gives the evaluations at regional test sites located throughout the state of Michigan.  

Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC) is proud to host a Prometric Regional Testing Site in the Peter and Pat Cook Academic Hall on its Downtown Campus.  GRCC provides the facilities for the testing center.  It does not provide evaluation staff, schedule Prometric testers or have any communication with Prometric testers.

Peter and Pat Cook Academic Hall

Need to know where GRCC’s Downtown campus is?  Here’s a map of our location.

  • The Peter and Pat Cook Academic Hall is #3. 
  • Parking ramps are #2 and #8. 
    • If you park in Student Parking Lots #2 & 8, you will be subject to parking ramp Public rates (May 2021 rates are: First 30 Minutes free $2.00/half hour $12.00/daily max Evening (after 5 p.m.) and weekend max = $6.00)

Testing center room location

The entrance to the Peter and Pat Cook Academic Hall is at the ADA Access (wheelchair) icon between the Cook and Raleigh Finkelstein Hall (#4) at ground level. 

The testing center room is on the third floor of Cook Hall - room number 301.  If you see the purple wall color, you are in the correct place! 

Room 301 will be on your right just past the elevators.

Testing day issues

If you have issues on the day of testing (for example, having difficulty getting to the location on time or if Prometric staff are not in the testing location at the time when you understand your testing to be scheduled), please contact Prometric directly. 

GRCC provides Prometric a location for its Regional Testing Site, all communication and testing arrangements are by Prometric.
