Health Insurance Apprenticeship Program

The Health Insurance Apprenticeship program is a 430-hour active learning program which provides an overview of the health benefits industry. The program teaches the skills and knowledge required to manage general agent licensing as required by the State of Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services.

The goal of this apprenticeship is to build a qualified pool of licensed individuals who may begin to become agents within 14 to 24 months.

The Health Insurance Agent Apprenticeship allows students to learn about basic business as well as hands-on experience with the health benefits industry and skill-building topics.
