All students are required to take the ALEKS assessment.
Exception: if you’ve taken a college-level math course, within the last year, that fulfills the prerequisite for the class in which you would like to enroll.
ALEKS serves as a math evaluation aimed at aligning your enrolled math class with your current skill level and pushing you to new challenges.
To access the ALEKS account:
- Login to MyGRCC portal
- Go to the Online Center tile
- Select the “Test Placement” tab
- Click on the “ALEKS Math Placement” tab on the left
- Click the blue button that says, “Math Placement”
- This will take you to the ALEKS assessment
If you need to use our testing center, no appointment is necessary. Please note: A picture ID is required to take the assessment.
