GRCC is governed by the board of trustees, which consists of seven members elected at large in biennial elections. The president of the college serves as an ex officio member of the board. The trustees serve without compensation for overlapping terms of six years. Trustees operate under the policy governance model. The board meets once a month in a public session.

Notice of Work Session and Regular Meeting
The Grand Rapids Community College Board of Trustees will meet in a work session beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2026 in the board conference Room on the fifth floor of Raleigh J. Finkelstein Hall.
A regular meeting will follow the work session, beginning at 4:15 p.m. This meeting will be held in the board room on the fifth floor of Raleigh J. Finkelstein Hall.
Both of these meetings are open to the public under the Open Meetings Act, 267.
