It is critical to students’ transition from high school to Early College that they are advised by their high school counselor. Counselors are aware of their students’ abilities and know best in which courses their students will be most successful.
Therefore, high school guidance counselors should meet with every student interested in Early College. Counselors should discuss options, appropriate courses, and review the school district’s Early College policies with their students. Admissions Office staff cannot provide academic advising to Early College students.

IMPORTANT: The Admissions Office will send counselors a list of the classes in which their students have enrolled. This list will be sent out a few times during each registration period. Counselors must review these lists carefully and notify the Admissions Office if there are any discrepancies and if students are enrolled in classes not approved by the high school.

Campus Visits

The Admissions Office welcomes high schools to schedule campus visits with a group of students.

Due to space limitations on campus, the Admissions Office cannot accommodate groups larger than 50. Campus visits include information about GRCC, a review of the application process and financial aid. Visits also include a campus tour.

Arrangements should be made at least two weeks prior to your desired visit date. Visits are scheduled on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Call the Admissions Office at 616-234-3567 to arrange a campus visit.

Articulation

Articulation is a process where students may earn college credits for certain courses they take in high school.  Why should you be interested in articulation:

  • It provides a head start on college
  • It makes today's learning count toward the future
  • It decreases the cost spent on college tuition
  • It gives students a focus in high school

For more information log on to www.grcc.edu/articulation or call Cathy Green at (616) 234-3883 or email at cgreen@grcc.edu
