Grace Schwanda
Grace
Schwanda is a musician in the Grand Rapids area. She is orginally from
New Jersey where she recieved her BA and MA from Montclair State
University. Grace studied Orff, Kodaly, and Dalcroze at Manhattan
School of Music and is a published composer and author. Her latest
article is "Toys for Tone" published in the September 1998 issue of The
Chorister.
Ms. Schwanda is on the Music and Physical Education faculties at Grand Rapids Community College. She teaches MU200 Music for the Classroom Teacher, PE157 Physical Education for the Elementary Teacher and MU107 Music Listening.
Grace is the Children's Choir director at St. Robert of Newminster in Ada, MI. where she directs four children's choirs and has a full Orff Instrumentarium.
In her free time she referees soccer for the MHSAA at local High Schools.
