Rafael Rosado - Visiting Artist Series
Award-winning author and illustrator Rafael Rosado is the co-creator and illustrator of the bestselling graphic novel trilogy Giants Beware!, Dragons Beware!, and Monsters Beware!, along with Call Me Iggy, all published by First Second Books. Giants Beware! won the Cybils Award for Middle Grade Graphic Novel, and the series has received widespread critical acclaim, including starred reviews, year-end Best Of lists, and frequent selection by librarians and educators nationwide. His work has been featured in The New York Times and appears in acclaimed anthologies such as Comic Squad 3: Detention, Tales From La Vida, and From Cocinas to Lucha Libre Ringsides. His most recent book is Fartboy and Reeky Dog (Penguin Random House). Originally from Puerto Rico, and now based in Columbus, Ohio, Rosado is also a seasoned writer, director, and storyboard artist in the animation industry. He has worked for major studios including Warner Bros., Disney, Sony, and Cartoon Network, on projects such as Batman, Scooby-Doo, and Curious George.
