The Academic Advising and Transfer Center is here to serve your academic planning, transfer planning, graduation and career exploration needs. We have advisors available to you at both our Grand Rapids main location and at the Lakeshore campus, in person and virtually.
Peak Season Advising
The month of December is busy as everyone prepares for classes to start in January 2025, please review the details below for advising options for students with an advisor in the Academic Advising & Transfer Center:
- Schedule an appointment with your advisor in Navigate
- Our Navigate calendars open 2 weeks at a time, so check back regularly if you’re not seeing something that fits your needs today.
- Go to your advisor’s bio page below, they may be offering asynchronous advising options such as email advising and/or Google forms for course recommendations
- Visit us during Express Advising, see the schedule for dates and times.
- Express Advising is designed for just in-time service, providing course recommendations just for Winter 25 or providing solutions for needs related to Winter 25. Express advising conversations are typically 15 minutes in length, and remaining concerns should be addressed during a future scheduled appointment.
- Express Advising is a drop-in, first come, first-served. Due to capacity, Express Advising may close earlier than advertised, so we encourage you to join the LIST early.
- Express Advising is by phone only; an advisor will call the phone number you list on the form below.
- To sign up for express advising, complete this form and we will call you as soon as possible. Please note, the form is only open during our posted Express Advising hours.
