David Koetje was reelected to the GRCC board of trustees on Nov. 8, 2022 for a term that runs from Jan. 1, 2023 to Dec. 31, 2024.
Trustee Koetje earned his bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Economics in 1972 from Grand Valley State University and a master’s degree in School of Administration in 1976 from DePaul University.
From 2002-2005 he was part of the Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Change Leadership Group,. The group of 30 educators were selected to assist the Graduate School of Education staff in their development of change models for schools.
Throughout the past 25 years, trustee Koetje has served on numerous church committees, community boards, non-profit boards, and community fund drives. He has also spoken at leadership, education, and parenting conferences throughout North America.
Mr. Koetje recently retired from, his role as president and CEO of Christian Schools International, an organization that provides services to 500 Christian schools around the globe in the areas of academic program design, leadership development, school accreditation, learning services, and employee benefit programs.
